Designed for Highland Affordable Housing, a local not-for-profit developer dedicated to increasing the available affordable housing stock in the Town of Truro. The Town, through an RFP process, requested a building to match the size and scale of a fire house that occupied the site in the first half of the 20th century. The HCS design contains two 2-bedroom apartments, and incorporates resource and energy conservation features, such as heat exchange ventilation and photovoltaic panels in its specifications.
The project has received a Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council. This project was constructed 10% below the budget established for construction. |
