The owners of this lakefront property were interested in the Arts and Crafts movement of the early twentieth century. The project was organized to engage artists and craftspeople to work with Hadley Crow Studio on many of the elements within the house. The result, a collaboration involving the architect, landscape architect and owners, includes natural finished interior maple woodwork, custom tile patterns, bronze castings of leaves taken from the site, and stained glass panels in windows and doors.
The house is centered on a large stone fireplace, with living, dining and kitchen areas open to each other on the first floor, and a study overlooking it all from a balcony above. The Master suite is also on the first floor.
The entry to the house is shaded by a wisteria-covered trellis.
