The house is a fully weatherized, 1650 square foot vacation house within viewing distance of Blackfish Creek in Wellfleet. Using simple materials within an efficient plan, the house was constructed for between $125 and $150 per square foot in 2002. It is an “upside - down house,” with living areas on the second floor, facing Blackfish Creek, and bedrooms on the ground floor.

The house includes a deck adjacent to the dining room and kitchen, and a third- floor “sunning deck” overlooking the Creek. The “Tree House” includes four bedrooms, two and a half baths, a kitchen/ dining/ living area, plus a family room.
